Do Da Ditty Dum: Land of the Midnight Sun and Constant FUN!
Artist Sarah Adelaide Hewitt of Leicester, VT, has joined her mother, writer Kim Hewitt, to release a new picture book for children ages two through eight years.
With an August 2015 release, this fanciful story follows seven-year-old LU (short for LUdwig) on a magical adventure to a secret island where wonderful and outlandish creatures dwell.
“Can we read it again?” said Greer, a local four-year-old, upon finishing the book for the first time. “I think it is fun at the end when she plays with the butterflies and the sprinklers. Can I play with sprinklers?”
With full-color illustrations of the playful and magical creatures who live in this secret Island Kingdom, the book's story and Lu's discoveries encourage children to be the author of their own adventures, to envision their own fantastic creatures, and to let their imaginations soar.
Do Da Ditty Dum, with text written by Kim Hotchkiss Hewitt and illustrations by Sarah Adelaide Hewitt, is published by Art of Adelaide.
